personal interests the arts writing poetry blueberry dawn

This piece was inspired by the Yachats River valley in the coastal range behind my home... a personification of nature as an alluring young maid.

The artwork is an abstraction from one of my life photography works.

Blueberry Dawn (1985)

With sunlit streams
of drifts of hair
Showers of dewdrops
suspended in air
She moves through the moods
of the minds who share

With matchless motion
so perfect so rare
Aquas and azures
so simple so bare
She lives through the lives
of the loves who dare

With meadowy moors
of milkweed and rust
Colors and textures
of daisies and dust
She slips through the sighs
of the souls who lust
